Fees and Where to apply
The fee depends on the type of passport you apply for:
Fees effective March 30th, 2017
Adult 10 year 780 HKD
Adult large 10 year 1030 HKD
5-year passport for those under 18 years 370 HKD
Emergency Travel Document* 250HKD
Additional Fees
Out of hours fee** 660HKD
Passport Certification Fee*** 330HKD
*This fee applies to both Emergency Travel Certificates and emergency passports.
**The fee is additional to the fee for the passport itself.
***This a standard consular fee that is charged for the verification or certification of any document
Payment Options
Payments to the Consulate can be made by bank transfer (see below). You can also present payments in cash or Hong Kong Dollar-denominated cheque drawn on a local bank. We can only accept local currency for applications submitted in Hong Kong. Cheques should be made payable to "Dept Foreign Affairs & Trade Ireland Consulate HK HKD Public Bank".

First time applications must be submitted in person. Passport renewals will be accepted by post. If you choose to post your application, we strongly recommend you to use registered mail or a reputable courier service. The Consulate cannot be held responsible for applications or documents lost in transit.
The public counter is open from 10.00 – 12.00 and 14.00 - 16.30, Monday – Friday. Consular appointments are available Monday – Thursday, 14.00 – 15.00.
