IWAF and AIHA screening of '1916: The Irish Rebellion’
8 April, 5.30pm
Cinema Paradiso, Northbridge
The Ireland – Western Australia Forum in association with the Australian Irish Heritage Association present a screening of ‘1916: The Irish Rebellion’. With narration by Liam Neeson, the film tells the dramatic story of the events that took place in Dublin during Easter Week 1916.
A collaboration between Notre Dame University and the Government of Ireland, the documentary tells the story of the 1916 Easter Rising in a comprehensive way and, for the first time, places these events in their proper historical, political and cultural context as the precursor to an independent Irish state and the disintegration of colonial empires worldwide.
This is a ticketed event. Bookings can be made online
