Emigrant Support Programme

We provide grants to Irish organisations in Kenya and across the world, focusing in particular on the most vulnerable of our emigrants.

Presidential Award

The Presidential Distinguished Service Award for the Irish Abroad recognises sustained, distinguished service to Ireland, its communities abroad or its international reputation by those living abroad.

Ireland remains a popular tourist location with 7.6 million overseas tourist visits in 2014.

Irish Culture

Promoting Irish culture is an important part of the Embassy's work. We work with key organisations to enhance the opportunities to enjoy Irish culture, including music, literature and arts.

St. Patrick's Day

Saint Patrick's Day is a global celebration of what it means to be Irish. The Embassy uses the opportunity every March to celebrate with Irish communities and to showcase Ireland.
