Travel Advice
Travel to Ireland from Switzerland
Swiss nationals may travel to Ireland on a valid national I.D. or valid passport. If you also plan to travel to Northern Ireland, or elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you should check with the British authorities.
The visa-free exemption for those travelling on a Convention Travel Document issued by Switzerland has been suspended. Passport & Visa Services
All those resident in Switzerland and Liechtenstein who require a passport must now apply online using the Passport Online service. If you have any queries relating to a passport application please contact our Customer Service Hub who will be happy to assist you.
Those resident in Algeria who require a passport, or have a passport enquiry, may contact the Embassy.
