Mumbai part of the Global Launch of Playback
The Consulate General of Ireland Mumbai is delighted to have the opportunity to partner with the Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival (VMDIFF) and be part of the global launch of Playback. This film is a celebration of the best up-and-coming Hip Hop and R&B acts in Ireland today.
VMDIFF Festival Director, Gráinne Humphreys is no stranger to Indian shores having been a guest judge for the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival in 2019 and we’re looking forward to further collaborations in 2021 on all things film.
Playback
Curated for the 2021 Festival by producer Michael Donnelly V and musician Erica Cody, Playback presents 12 music videos alongside specially-recorded interviews with the featured film directors and music artists. This project showcases the vibrant, energetic creativity of the talents involved and gives them a platform to discuss their process, style and collaborations.

We had hoped that this would be an in person screening but now with the help of our friends in Irish Screen America we are launching online on 10 March at 20.30 IST https://watch.eventive.org/isa_mumbai/play/603cc1823858b8004c492c37 and to give you as much time as possible to access the film we have left the viewing window open until midnight on 14 March.
