The Passport Service is working to process all Passport applications. The status information on your passport is accurate but the estimate issue by date is not. We do not recommend that you book travel until you have a valid passport.
Turnaround times
All documents are registered in 5 working days. Adult renewals normally take 10 working days from registration; Child renewals normally take 15. First time applications normally take 40 working days from registration.
